8,770 Packages Sent

Together we can make a difference...

Operation Sunscreen is a non-profit, volunteer-based corporation, funded entirely by private donations.  I am excited to announce that Operation Sunscreen – Care Packages for the Troops Foundation is officially a charitable organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and a public charity! Operation Sunscreen’s goal is to send out as many Care Packages as possible that contain toiletries, snacks and letters of appreciation to Soldiers deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait. Thanks to your generosity, Operation Sunscreen has sent more than 8,770 Care Packages to our  National Guard "Citizen Soldiers" deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Kosovo since its inception in July 2007 through December 2015.  To date, 90% of our donations are Missouri individuals reaching out to our Soldiers and adopting one, two, or three at a time. Please know that your small sacrifice makes a huge difference to our Soldiers! Operation Sunscreen will continue to send Care Packages until all our National Guard Soldiers are home.  Would you be willing to help?  Together we can make a difference in the lives of our deployed National Guard "Citizen Soldiers". -Karen Irwin, Founder of Operation Sunscreen
